Frequently Asked Questions
- What is your warranty?
All of our manufactured luminaires are warranted to be free from defective materials and workmanship for two years when properly installed for the right application and operated at rated voltage. This warranty excludes lamp failure and covers only repair or replacement at our Orlando facility. For complete two-year limited warranty information, please see our Terms-Conditions-Warranty page. - I live in California and cannot wait a month to get my order. What are your lead times?
Our 30,000 square foot parts facility, coupled with built stock on key items, allows us to ship small to standard size orders in 2-5 days on average…often times sooner if needed. Transit time to the West Coast averages five days unless expedited. - Can you make Incandescent Fixtures?
Yes we can, but choose not to. As a fixture manufacturer, we feel it is our environmental duty to build energy efficient luminaires when ever possible. While incandescent lamps have their applications, it is not in keeping with the direction and focus of our company as established in 1977. - Are there other colors available besides your 20 painted finishes?
Yes, we can paint or color match most any finish when given an RAL code or sample to duplicate. We can also cross reference numbers from the majority of national paint suppliers such as Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore. - Do you sell direct?
No, we have contracts with local agents across the United States to promote and sell our products through normal distribution channels. - Where can I buy your products?
Using our Rep Locator, contact the agent assigned to your area for information concerning local distributors and contractors. - Are photometrics available for any of your fixtures?
Yes, photometric data has been completed for most all Area & Security models as well as many wall and ceiling models. We can provide electronically, on paper, or on CD. . Please contact the factory or a representative to advise as to the format that you require. - Most of the larger companies have a company newsletter, do you?
Yes, we publish a bi-monthly newsletter that is available through email, fax or postal service. Please use the email sign-up form on the home page to notify us of your desire to be added to our mailing list. Be sure to state how you’d prefer to receive it. - Is your pricing competitive?
Absolutely! Although we’re not always the lowest, every time, for every model, on every job…there have been very few projects lost because of pricing issues. - Do you discount for large orders?
Certainly! Our agents, being experienced and familiar with their markets, are best suited to establish the local pricing. They have been given the authority to discount in certain situations. - Are you really family-owned and operated?
We certainly are and have been for nearly 30 years. There are currently three Brownlees overseeing operations with outstanding support from an experienced management team. - How do I get to your manufacturing facility?
We are 5 miles NW of downtown Orlando and 18 miles NW of Orlando International Airport. Our address is 4600 Dardanelle Dr Orlando FL 32808; this MapQuest link can provide specific directions. - Do you have custom capabilities?
Yes…we welcome the opportunity. Using Rep Locator, please contact your local representative for assistance. - Are your luminaires certified, qualified and/or compliant?
Yes, all our current models are Underwriters Laboratory (UL) listed for either Wet, Damp or Dry locations; over 70 are ENERGY STAR® qualified; and over 50 are ADA compliant. - How much is your minimum order?
We happily accept orders of any size and do not charge extra for the smaller ones. - Apparently you have discontinued the model I need, is it still available?
Most models, and their replacement parts, are available for several years after having been discontinued…perhaps longer depending on minimum purchase quantities and price increases from our vendors. If not in stock, these items may require longer lead times. -
